i have to say bye to one of my English show budgies ,as it has cancer through its body, so he has to go to the Aviary in the sky, he was one of my best budgies, even with his self mutilation, which we now know was due to the cancer, sorry George i didnt pick it up earlier, but now you will be pain free, rest in birdie heaven where you will fly free.

Oh sorry to hear about George, Steve. I am sure George knew you loved him so very much and he is grateful for having such a good life with you. :th_hug8:

Fly high over the Rainbow Bridge darling George. Watch over your flock and family here on earth who miss you. They need you to give them a sign that you are there and they will never be alone with you watching over them.

Birdie hugs to you. The loss of any one bird is truly sad. Do you have some photos of him you would share? Love all budgies, especially show ones.

I'm truly sad for your loss, Steve. Losing a flock member is indeed losing a dear family member. I hope George's suffering was minimal. He is certainly free now!

That is at the top of the lifespan for these little ones - 8-10 years. I treasure Chipper every day. The American parakeets can live up to 15 years or longer if fed a proper diet. He will be so missed. Are the other parakeets showing any signs of missing him?
