These photos were taken yesterday morning/afternoon. In the 1st one Angel is waiting for his breakfast at his enclosure door. He had the opportunity to come out on his play perch, but he chose to 'sleep -in' today. The next 4 photos are of him cracking open an almond he found in his bowl. it is so pleasing to see him able to hold & crack a nut. He has learned how to adjust and lead a normal life like his brother Roscoe. :th_heart:

Thanks Ashleigh. Angel is my special boy I told you about. He can't stand on his legs like his monkey winged brother Roscoe. :th_LOL:
He has learned to find other ways to do things and he has maintained a very sweet personality through it all. :th_biggrin:

he is beautiful and yes his colours are amazing , and i know what you mean about them finding ways to get by , my Aggy has a broken leg which will never mend, but she has managed to get by with it , winter has been hard on her but she gets lots of chillies, as they are a natural anti-inflammatory and helps with the arthritis's.

Thanks everyone. Angle is a special boy in his love of life. :th_biggrin:
Angel's breeder Vicki said he was a very unhappy baby at first not being able to get around. She took him to her vet to consider putting him down. Her daughter begged her to give him a chance. She had a rough time in her life around then & Vicki decided to give Angel more time to adjust. She said the day he figured out how to climb you could see the exhilaration in his eyes & he was a changed bird from there on out. I still thank her often for allowing me to take him home and love him as mine.:th_heart:
A[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks] at least Aggy gets some relief with the chilli peppers Steve. The special ones just know they have to find other ways to do what a normal parrot finds a snap to do.:th_hug8:

Hello and Welcome Parrotlover83! What an adorable GW you have there! Can't wait to learn more about him and your other flock members!
That is so cool, De'Andrea! I well know the feeling of elation that comes from one of our cherished fids adapting to and thus overcoming a disability. Your photos of Angel speak volumes to that effect! Congratulations to Angel (and to you) :th_biggrin:
