I am super excited about this and I hope we get lots of photos to view and choose from. :th_biggrin: Gee sometimes I wished I could participate in the photos, but I am very happy to enjoy giving all our great photographers a chance to show off their favorite and best shots of their beloved feathered darlings.:th_hug8:

Since most of you don't know me very well and don't know exactly what the prize will look similar to, I will put a few photos of the ornaments I made for an ornament exchange I participated in on a small parrot forum I belong to last Christmas. Actually the one I will make for the contest will be a bit too large to hang on a tree so I should call it a wall hanging instead. I use my wood burning tool to detail these. I am still learning to use my Dremel tool for depth of detail so this one will not be subject to my amateur ability with that.

These are made from Mesquite wood my hubby cuts from the design I draw on the wood. He does the sanding and I do all the rest. I can cut the figures out & sand them, but I like that he does the hard work & I do the fun stuff. The first one here is the size I will be making for the winning prize in the parrot species of the winner's choice. I am not sure at this time just what accessories I will add to it. I did make the dream catchers I added also. Everything is handmade or added by me. The winner is welcome to pm me with suggestions they might like to go with it.

This is the size the prize will be. I did do my best work on this one as it was a gift
to my best friend on that forum. It is a Rose Breasted Cockatoo and I varnished
it to bring out the details. I did not do as good a job on the smaller ones.
I made 12 different species in all in less than a month.

De'Andrea ,That's super cool you can draw birds. Im sure you read on my Keychain thread . You can find nothing with parrots on anything around here!! I like your RB2 :) I think mine comes Saturday .Help me with a cool Texan Pink male bird name :) :)

Oh Boy! You will be getting your baby just in time for the competition. Congrats on him coming in less than a week! :th_hug8: I will be expecting some great photos of the cutie. I love RB2s, would love to have one one day, maybe in the future.:th_heart:

Gee, I will have to think on a Texan name for a pink boy bird. I bet you already have a few names you are deciding on. If it was a girl it would be so much easier to come up with a name for a pink bird.:th_LOL:

M friend I made the RB2 for doesn't have one, but she wants one really bad. Her hubby tells her they have enough birds, so I gave her one he couldn't complain about.:th_hehe: I did read your key chain thread & it is the same around here. Looking in stores you can't find much if anything. And when you do, it is made in another country and often barely looks like the parrot they were depicting.
