ShellyBorg
08-02-2013, 06:41 PM
Our last months winner Spirit Bird has chosen this months competition subject. "Feathers" This can be a close up of feathers on your bird, artfully arranged molted feathers or even feather used as part of a art or craft project. These feather MUST come from a bird you OWN. No internet pictures or anything copyrighted.

Best of luck! The winner of this competition will receive a stained glass feather of a color of there choosing. I will even add your own birds feather into the suncatcher if you have some to send me. :th_chickendance:

The rules are pretty simple:

1. Only one entry per member per contest.

2. Please add your bird's name along with the photo. It will be used
to identify your entry on the poll along with your username.

3. No copy write photos. Please make sure you are the owner of
the photo you enter.

4. Please, no photos that clearly endanger your bird in any way.

5. All photos to be entered in the contest need to be posted in this thread.

6. And the most important rule of all~~Lets Have Fun!!!~~

The contest starts today, the 1st of August and runs until the 21st of August.

The 22nd of August a poll will be added with all of the photos in order of their posted date.

The poll will run for one week and will close on the 29th of August, unless otherwise noted.

I will announce the winner of the contest on the 31st of August. And I will contact the winner by pm to discuss the prize details with them.

The winner of this contest gets to choose the subject of the Sept. photo contest.

Put them in a flower type arrangement with natural growing items around them. Sort of like a centerpiece for a dining room table.

Entry 7.

Hey everyone have we forgotten we have a photo competition going on? Haven't seen any activity in days over here. The competition only has 3 more days to run, so ya'll better get your entries in soon.:th_biggrin:

Here is my entry. I actually made this one last Christmas for my friend Marlene in New York's hubby Darren. He has what he calls his 'Man cave' and he likes Native American motif in it. So I made him a Dream catcher since he didn't have one already. Every feather on it came from Roscoe, Angel, Peta & the Budgies. Ruby Jewel was still in Washington state, so her feathers weren't available.

Thanks Dianne & Debra. Dream Catchers really aren't as hard to make as they look. I have made quite a few in years past.

I even made me a Mandella with a leather piece center I painted a buffalo skull on. I did sell that to someone who thought they just had to have it & never made me another.

I looked at Steve's entry earlier when I read your post and I saw his submission at the to along with his siggy, plus the extraneous code you took off.

I just looked at it again upon reading your new post and the entry photo is still at the top of his post and his siggy is in the left corner instead of the right as it was earlier. Unusual that you can't see them, unless I am misunderstanding what you mean is missing?

Steve's submission is on post #6 on 08-04-2013. He has his female Eclectus Lexxi as his entry.

I got the update taken off. My internet is acting crazy again. When I told the computer to edit, it just kept loading & wouldn't complete even tho I clicked it twice to reload the page. While I was waiting for it to load I was ironing my uniforms for work (I go back tomorrow night), and was answering a post on FB on my other computer. I just gotta' quit multitasking at my age. I'm ready for a nap!!

Steve's submission is on post #6 on 08-04-2013. He has his female Eclectus Lexxi as his entry.Okay, I think I know what happened. You're talking about post #6 ... whereas I was talking about post #36 (which has no photos or photo links within its body). Steve must have been having trouble with his signature earlier today and had the photobucket placeholder image showing in place of his sig pic for a bit. I apparently glanced at it and mistakenly thought it was within the message area rather than the siggy area. I'd forgotten about Steve's post #36 and thought the placeholder image that I'd scanned past was supposed to be his submission. (If that makes any sense )

:ROFLMAODog: No problem Tony! I was wondering why I could see his entry & you couldn't. I did see in another thread what you meant about his siggy being gone. When I was checking about his entry on this one & saw it was back, I just thought he had re submitted his entry along with fixing his missing siggy. :th_LOL:

Don't worry about adding things to my work load. I do that to myself all the time. You don't even want to know all the different jobs I was trying to get done in the wee hours this morning between 3 & 5am while I was on here & on my other two computers, plus cleaning fish bowls & the floors. :th_imok::th_faint:
