This is so true! I wish more people would feed a well balanced diet to these wonderful creatures.

Although sometimes my birds get stuck on THEIR favorite food, I have to keep rotating their menu in hopes they'll decide on another favorite!

I bet there is no atherosclerosis in wild birds like with our companion birds. (humans too)

With my flock it is a hit & miss with the two brothers. Roscoe & Angel won't hardly touch the cooked pasta/veggie mixes with all kinds of veggies, beans & such in it. If we are eating at the table they will eat almost every veggie I offer them. Put it in their bowl the next morning, even warmed & they are not amused!!

Ruby Jewel & Leyla Belle both eat the cooked mixes I slave over with relish. Not literally relish is put on it, I mean they love & devour almost all of it with very little thrown out. they both eat heartily on almost everything I offer them. They are my best subjects in the variety foods category. It must be that 'Sisterhood' thing going on. The girls just know what is good for them & what will keep them looking gorgeous. The two boys just don't care about their appearance enough to keep fit! :th_hehe:
