Raccoons

Does anyone know if raccoons will eat bird seed? We had one get into our bin we keep the wild bird seed in and we don't know if he was just curious or if he actually ate some. He didn't see the corn we have for the squirrels in there as it hadn't been touched. He sure did make a mess!

I was going to say, probably since they eat just about anything they can get into.

Raccoons are cute critters, but sure are pesky! We have coons that get into our big dumpster out by the road in front of our house & they scatter trash all over the yard.

We've now weighed down the lid to the bin to hopefully keep them out. They did get into a squirrel feeder block thing that we had hanging out for the squirrels. Won't be buying that one again. lol

I definitely would not be surprised if a raccoon was eating your bird food. Like De', I've always heard they will eat anything! Good luck fixing that problem. Hopefully they've been staying out!
