keets and grass

just wondering who out there give's there keets picked grass to eat, mine go crazy over it every time i put a couple hand fulls in.

I've never given grass to any of my birds. I wouldn't want to give them what we grow as hubby puts down too much ant killer and stuff.

have you tried sprouting there seed for them

That is a good idea Steve, never thought of it. All of our soil here is safe as it is organic with no chemicals added. I will let you know what happens.

Haha -- I have a brown thumb and cannot grow anything.

put seed on cotton wool add water just to dampen the cotton and water ever two days seed becomes grass in a week or two, even a brown thumb can sprout seed lol
