How did you come by such a cute bird and name?

Well spirit, the cute bird was bred by a wonderful breeder and person. It's been the best experience dealing with her!!! She raises the most well mannered birds and she really cares about each baby. As far as the name, that one took a while!!! Haha

oh my god..... he is so cute..... I always tell people, if I didn't get a quaker, I would have a caique and if I get a second bird, it will be a caique. I love meiko just by seeing those pics.

Thanks!! I loved my Quaker, but this caique is so much fun and awesome!!! He's a lot more playful and doesn't wanna hang out with me as much as my Quaker. All he wants to do is play and eat!! Haha I love it! I would love to own a Quaker again one day, and a green cheek, but right now, I'm happy as can be with my Meiko. :)

I know someone on another forum who has one. Another forum member inherited one & she told him he had better get his roller skates ready. She said he would need them to keep up with his new feathered friend. :th_LOL: She says hers never runs down til time to go to sleep.

I feel like it matches my personality pretty good :) I'm planning on harness training and taking him more places with me. I used to take my Quaker every where but we'll see if Meiko wants to stay still long enough. Haha
