Josie is up and I know this for sure, she's screaming again and banging the door.

The covers still on and I can't see her face but if I don't do it right, I'll get put in my place

I call out her name and pull off the top, I say its not mom its just me your pop

she replies with a scream and all is not well, and now I am looking at a bird straight from hell

I look at her dish and hope that's its full, but I know that its empty and Im full of bull

I work up my nerve and take out the bowl, now she is coming I have seconds to go

I get the bowl clear and mock her with glee, hear a strange noise and in horror I see

I'd forgotten to latch the dish door again, which is just big enough for our avian friend

she opened the door, she's outside the cage, and looking at me with eyes filled with rage!

I know its the end now I have little time left, I knew that she'd get me if she gave it her best

then down from the stairs I hear what I think, is Josie's mommy getting some coffee to drink

the bird yells hello and fluffs up her head, and now I'm not sure that I'll end up dead

I back away which pleases the bird, and mom picks her up without even a word

she preens and wiggles....and then Josie does too- and I can't help but to smile on just watching these two

Loved the poem Ben. Next time we need video to go along with the mental image of you being tormented by such a sweet & adorable little girl. :th_biggrin:

You men are just going to have to toughen up. Us girl parronts outnumber ya'll I think and we have no problem at all giving those big beautiful birdies hugs & kisses.:th_LOL:
