A few weeks ago I purchased a pedastal bird bath for my conures. Choosing a brown stone colour in plastic thought they would not be frightened by it.
I duly filled it up with tepid water and placed it in the middle of the sittingroom for them to investigate. Husband Mike said they will never use that within minutes Ruby my young Crimson Bellied Conure was backing into it and bathing. Then the two greencheeks Pearl and Jade used it. I now put it out every day before they come out of their cages and it is used regularly by them and they adore it. At the end of the time out session the water is easily tipped out and the bath moved into a place under my work surface in the kitchen.

It cost me £8.50 From ebay what a bargain.

Sounds like a great bargain:) You will have to post some pics with them in it!

I will try trouble is with the conures they are never still for two seconds and all the images even with the powerful camera tend to be a bit blurred at times. I will try though as they do look very amusing.

That sounds like fun for the cuties and for you watching. Ha, your hubby thinking they won't use it. What do men know?:th_LOL:

The bird bath sounds way easier to offer them to bath in than trying to get them to the shower. :thanks4sharingthumb

What a great Idea I never would have thought of doing that in the house. I know all the outside birds love theirs

I really recommend it as you do not need to add too much water if you choose a nice small toped bird bath. It is lovely to see though if you sit a bit close may end up with a spray.
I will try for pics asap

I love this idea! I've tried, with Sassy, a pie plate filled with a bit of water, on a table near her cage. So far, no luck but still trying. It's wonderful that your birds are loving it!

I've always been curious as to how you get your bird into a shower without it freaking out? Is this something you start when they are a baby?
