We took Lucy for her bi-annual beak and nail trim. Her vet is a woman and Lucy HATES women. Being manhandled by her vet doesn't help that matter much. On the way home, we stopped at Sonic for a treat of French fries for her. She only gets one and only when she has to go to the vet. Poor hubby gets the job of finishing off the large order of fries. LOL. Her treat didn't help her mood. She went for my fingers instead of the fry so hubby fed her. She will be ok in the morning but she's going to make me pay tonight. Gotta love her though.

I feel so bad for them [because their scared] . Almost like a kid getting shots. Harlow my macaw was very sick last year and had a lot of appts . Always got her a muffin on the way home :)

Oh my! I can certainly relate to the mad redhead to deal with. I'm going to have a mad little hussey to deal with when I'm off again in a few days. :th_LOL: I have to trim Leyla Belle's wings & nails. She's not gonna like it!
Isn't it funny how the female ekkies can get so mad over nothing. Sometimes Leyla Belle starts the day off mad & stays that way all day long. Like you said, ya just gotta love those redheads!:th_biggrin:

Taking the birds to the vet has to be one of my least favorite things to do! Hopefully she is feeling better now. I am glad to see I'm not the only one who gives her birdies a fry for an extra special treat now and then. LOL!

luckily i dont have any probs at the vets with mine, the vet cant under stand how maxx will just sit there while having his beak trimmed , as for lexxy she has never needed a beak trim and as for her nails i will have to video it as no one believe's me when i say she sits there lets me lift each toe and clip it not being restrained in any way. where as max hates any one touching his toe's.

She will get over it, I hope.

Oh she's over it now. She blamed me for it even though my hubby is the one who carried her in and put her on the exam table. How it was my fault still confuses me. LOL

It was probably your fault for letting it happen. LOL. :th_wink:
